Parish Vision & Mission Statement

Lycoming Presbyterian Church lives to do three things:

  To introduce Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him;

  To deepen the faith and commitment of those who already know Him;

  To demonstrate Christ's way of love in service to the world.

   To all who would have their lives enriched by worshipping God in the beauty of holiness; to all who are weary and would find rest; to all who would lead a higher and more dedicated life of service to Christ; to all who may be strangers and have no Church home; to all who seek the abundant life; to all who wish to share in the proclamation of the good news of God’s love and redemption in Christ; this Church extends the friendliest of greetings and invites you to worship with us regularly.

Wednesday, March 27    Our Deacons play BINGO with the residents of the Presbyterian Home, 7 PM

Spaghetti & Meatballs Dinner

Saturday, March 30, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 PM.   Cost: $9 per person, take outs are available

Dinner includes salad, rolls, and delicious spaghetti & meatballs. The first thing you do after paying for the meal is visit the dessert table, pick out what you want, and carry it to your table.  We have many repeat attenders, who love the meal and our church's fine service!  This dinner is very popular with the community at large.

Church Family: we will need your help working the dinner, and  also donations of your delicious pies & cakes for the dessert table.  Your help is always greatly appreciated!

Lenten Bible Study

    A new Bible Study is being led by Pastor Larry on Sunday evenings at Lycoming Presbyterian Church, from March 10 through April 7, at 6 PM for one hour.  Based upon Max Vincent's book, BECAUSE of This, I REJOICE, the sessions will teach how the spiritual disciplines and practices allow joy to flow through our lives.  The format for our meetings follow a particular order: Greetings, Opening Prayer, Scripture Reading, Responses to the Text, Discussion of the Discipline for that week, and Closing Prayer.

   March 10     Joyful Prayer

   March 17     Joyful Witness

   March 24     Joyful Humility

   March 31     Joyful Hospitality

   April 7          Joyful Giving

    Please feel free to join us for any session of this Bible Study.  Bring your favorite Bible with you, and reach out to family members and friends to invite them along.  As we engage together in this Lenten Bible Study experience, may the Lord bring you Blessings of Great Joy!
